We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant with a focus on Taxation Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and a deep understanding of the Papua New Guinea tax laws and regulations. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you.
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Conduct tax research and provide clients with tax planning and advisory services.
- Manage client relationships, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring that clients are informed and compliant.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality client service.
- Assist in the development and training of junior staff members.
- Contribute to internal processes and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CA certification is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on taxation services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Papua New Guinea tax laws and regulations.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet tight deadlines.
