Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant with a focus on Taxation Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in taxation and a deep understanding of the Papua New Guinea tax laws and regulations. If you are a proactive, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for numbers, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Conduct tax research and provide clients with tax planning and advisory services.
  • Manage client relationships, addressing their inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring that clients are informed and compliant.
  • Collaborate with other team members to deliver high-quality client service.
  • Assist in the development and training of junior staff members.
  • Contribute to internal processes and systems to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA certification is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a public accounting firm, with a focus on taxation services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Papua New Guinea tax laws and regulations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, to meet tight deadlines.
