The Opportunity
We are looking for a Resident Manager to lead our Bougainville Office. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity for a driven professional who wants to make a real difference in a rapidly developing region. You will manage the day-to-day operations of the office, lead a local team, and serve as the face of KTK in Bougainville.
You will bring strong expertise in taxation and business advisory, a genuine connection to the Bougainville community, and the leadership ability to build a thriving, trusted practice in the region.
What You Will Do
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Bougainville Office
- Lead, supervise, and develop the local team with a people-first mindset
- Manage a portfolio of tax and advisory clients across the region
- Deliver taxation compliance and advisory services in line with PNG legislation and professional standards
- Provide business advisory services including financial analysis and business improvement support
- Build long-term, meaningful relationships with clients and key stakeholders within Bougainville
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to clients in the region, not just a compliance provider
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities to grow the firm’s community presence in Bougainville
- Liaise with the IRC, government agencies, and key stakeholders on behalf of clients and the firm
- Monitor engagement progress, budgets, and timelines to ensure quality delivery
- Work collaboratively with Partners and other departments across KTK
What You Bring
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
- CPA or CA qualification (preferred)
- 7 to 10 years of experience in taxation, business advisory, or professional services
- Strong knowledge of PNG taxation and compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing client engagements and leading teams
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Knowledge of the Bougainville business environment and community is a significant advantage
